It’s important to stay up to date on the latest news on cancer because it affects everyone and anyone. Prostate cancer starts when the cells in the prostate gland begin to grow frantically. This is only found in males and is found in the fluid that is part of the semen. The prostate is found below the rectum and changes in size as men age. Young men have it about the size of a walnut, while older men can have it much larger. Most prostate cancers are Adenocarcinomas and grow from the gland cells. There are several types of cancers that include Small cell carcinomas, Neuroendocrine tumors, Sarcomas, and Transitional cell carcinomas. Most prostate cancers grow slowly but can spread quickly. Usually older men can die without ever knowing they had prostate cancer. As to risk factors that can affect a man from getting prostate cancer, researchers have found the following: Age is one of them and can usually affect men after the age of 50.
